bratman2
Just finished my wife's 2011 Forester XT brakes Sunday. She has well over 124k miles and that was the factory pads. Not bad Subaru! The easiest brake job I think I have ever done. Replaced my daughter's timing belt/component set on her 2010 Impreza today. I keep on I will be a part time Subaru mechanic! gbhrps
bratman2, Feels good when you do it yourself ... and it costs less than half what the garage would charge you, doesn't it!
bratman2
Yes it does, and for the most part Subarus are easy to work on. Biggest issue I had was getting that new AC stretch belt on. I used a piece of cut milk carton. Work great on my wife's Forester a year ago. About kicked my butt on my daughter's Impreza. I rechecked to make sure it was the right belt.
