Ah, the joys of getting a "new" 22 year old car. Don't laugh it's paid for. Plus,in my humble opinion,90's JDM's just can't be beat.

Anywho, my right headlight went dim. My tech checked it out (the terminal had already been replaced), screwed with the connectors, and bam...bright again. Fast forward...next day, BAM...dull again.

Any KNOWN fixes for this problem?

And by the way, props to all of you on this for forum. You guys (and gals...maybe) are gold!

Much Thanks.

I'm referring to either an aftermarket 'kit' or DIY. Nothing as 'fancy' as a Subaru-based upgrade.

You can find these on Amazon, etc. for $20 and they bump your voltage to the HL bulbs a couple of volts, which means BRIGHTER lights.

Like THIS....ensure it's designer for you HL socket type, H3, H2, etc type socket.

Wtdash,

Would you happen to know which relay?

Subaru lists two different ones, and an illumination control unit...

there are 2 factory relays under the hood int eh main fuse box.

You could check the connectors on them for corrosion.

But my guess is that you have a faulty connector at the bulb.  Often cause by installation of some fancy "hi-output" psuedo HID bulb at some point in the past.

The connector may need replaced again.

wtdash is refering to a secondary, aftermarket system that can be installed to bypass the stock wiring (using it only as a trigger) and passing voltage in a shorter path to the bulbs through fresh wiring .

Be careful though, as most of those setups are for american, positive switched systems.  Subarus and many other use Negative switching.  if you go that route make sure you understand the difference.
