New to subarus....hello from ND!

As the title says, new to subarus, picked up an 84 GL 4wd sedan in trade for a small 90cc four wheeler I had. Car needed a little work, but it's still rumbling. Had to put a new dist. Cap on and a new coil, and just some tinkering. Just ordered a Weber carb to do the Weber swap. Plan to use the factory air-cleaner. And got a Haynes manual for repairs down the road. Just gonna use it for my work/winter daily beater to save wear and tear on my f-150. I'm a machinist, as well as a teacher. As well as race dirt circle track. Previous "beater" was a Mazda B2200 with a factory 2.2 that I had turbo'd as well as converted to EFI with megasquirt MS3x. Ended up sticking more money in it than I should have but what's a guy to do? Was fun while it lasted.

Hello, back at you from ND.  (Just north of Bismarck).     I have an 82 GL hatchback with the third headlight hidden under the constellation symbol (strange thing they did for only two years.  I push a button and the constellation lifts to reveal the tricylops.  I have the original Subaru full service manual for the vehicle in you need specs.

Nice! I was surprised to find that this car has power windows, a sunroof, power steering and working a/c. The interior is fairly clean on it and literally everything still works,just still trying to figure out the cruise. I picked up a Haynes manual so it should have most if not all of what I'm going to need. I'm right in jamestown btw.
