sirtokesalot Posted October 1, 2017 Share Posted October 1, 2017 can anyone tell me how ti wire the newer 3 wire alternator into the 98 2 wire setup? the alternator i have has a black/red - black/yellow - and a blue/red wire on its plug and my car currently has the factory 98 2 wire setup. Fairtax4me Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 I've done the other way. Put a two wire alt in a car that had a three wire. IIRC two of the wires just go to the same place in the fuse box. The other one is from the charge light in the cluster. I don't remember wire colors off hand. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
