Knucklehead Saloon
Hot ignition coils are the go. I've fitted them to heaps of cars and bikes and never been disappointed. Today I strapped an MSD blaster (45000v) to my Brumby and driving it afterwards made me smile. 88 dollars from ebay well spent. Improved idle quality, better throttle reponse and a tad more torque as well.

Knucklehead Saloon
My pants are quite well calibrated these days after 32 yrs of constant dyno runs haha. Everything from turbo'd road bikes, turbo 6 + V8 cars, Harleys etc etc... right down to a suzuki sierra ! They're experienced pants mate.
DaveT
I ran a mallory marine racing coil and breakerless conversion in my 1976. Can't say anything about making power. But it did start quicker, and I did not miss having to adjust the points every so often. Edited October 3, 2017 by DaveT
Knucklehead Saloon
Oh I'm hearing ya Brother ! Smart move ditching that 1903 ignition technology. If I never have to wongleflute around with points ever again I'll be a happy man.
