dp213
I got no feedback the 1st time I posted this. Is there something I'm missing about this code that no one wants to deal with. Thanks Dp
WhtMke
I had the same code on my 99 Legacy. I replaced the neutral safety switch and cleared the codes and it never came back on.
1 Lucky Texan
I suppose rodent damage could be an issue for some people - but bad switch is not uncommon.
dp213
On an auto tranny, is it the switch on the passenger side of the tranny?
Mike104
Year and model would be helpful, as well as AT or MT For AT it is sometimes called the inhibitor switch on passenger side of transmission for most

Mike104
mike, what is the special tool doing? It locks the inhibitor in position to adjust the linkage. I think I used a drill bit on mine when I installed it.
dp213
The switch in mine does not have a plug on the switch. The wires come out of the switch and run up by the engine bay. Can I use one that has the plug at the switch and just get the extension to go with it.
Mike104
Subaru sells the switch with the harness May be cheaper to get one from a pull and pay yard with the harness
