Tylerzbrat
Looking into buying a used Webber for my 79 brat with the ea71 and found one but it says dgav-33b. I just wasn’t sure if the 33b part was of any importance or if it’s good to use. Any helps appreciated!
Rallyru
The .033B refers to the Weber part number for the DGEV carb. 22680.033B. If its a water choke its a DGAV. Electric choke is DGEV.

Tylerzbrat
Actually can I convert it to electric choke? I noticed I can buy one for a Weber but not sure if the water choke comes off just as easy

naru
Water choke is vastly superior to the electric one. USE it. More reliabe too. A little harder to install, but, the water choke sets the choke according to actual engine temperature instead of some arbritary timed response. Leeroy
While the water choke is probably better than the electric choke in the grand scheme of things, the Weber electric choke is far more reliable and easy to set up that the original Subaru/Hitachi version. Makes for a simple conversion too, as there is far less to set up. Edited November 11, 2017 by Leeroy
