Rtwvumtneer6
I have the stock - non-nav - head unit in my 2015 2.5i Forester. I believe it's the unit made by Clarion. Anyway, my Bluetooth quit working and I can't get any devices to recognize the vehicle. Turns out the HU is at fault. Going to have it replaced on Monday. Anyone have any idea how long the swap may take? Experience tells me about an hour, but I've never done a Subaru and don't know if/how many dash components have to be removed. Any guess on install time? Thanks!
wirelessenabled
I can't speak about the Forester but for my 2014 Outback it would take less than 10 minutes to swap out identical head units. The trim just pulls out with a hand in the storage space, 4 screws to remove the HU, disconnect the 5? cables. Reverse to install. If Subaru used the same scheme for Foresters it is a simple job. Rtwvumtneer6
Thanks, wirelessenabled. This is all under warranty so I'm having my dealership do it. I suspect the set up is similar. Seems like Subaru tends to use universal parts when they can.
