jono
Will I get another 300 km from last half? I doubt it XT turbo manual. Maybe I should carry a new filter and can of juice and drive it to bone dry
el_freddo
XT as in vortex? Can be done. Just depends on how low you're willing to go below the "E". I once drove from Radelaide to Woodend in Vic (about 740km) "on one tank" with a NA MPFI EA82 in Ruby Scoo. Before other mods the EJ did the same but with much better power delivery Cheers Bennie
idosubaru
"half a tank" isn't very accurate regarding gas mileage but it looks well within normal XT ranges. That's 24 mpg. XT's can get 40 mpg XT6 auto, AWD (6 cylinders) can get 28. So roughly speaking your numbers look normal and repeatable if you drive the same in identical conditions. 300km = 186 miles on a half tank, which is 372 on a full tank. On 15.5 gallons of gas that's 24mpg
jono
Yes, I just hate people using a "tank" as a measure - more so when it is a thousand or more kms from a 50 litre tank [of cheaper Diesel ] and your name is Willy:, and you are driving it like you stole it Yes XT as in Vortex AWD turbo 5man in this pre 95 category shoot, a tank is just as bad as a gallon measure. I use the gallon that is 4,546.0935 ml I thought the US gallon was four litres 4.000 mls until the other day when I bought a gallon that was 3,780 mls ! Best I got from this baby was 8.3 litres per 100km highway driving on our 98 RON - our RON different from US RON too I think ! 62.5 miles divide by 8.3 litres 34.232632 miles per IMP Gallon Aus !
