jono
I have searched and GD thanks, found your spfi EA81 conversion write up where I got wire colours and ECU pins, numbers and wire colours from your copies of workshop manuals Big But though, I am sure my spfi TB has only three pins- I have a three pin plug that fits but may not be off it so if I report its wire colours may put us off the scent. If spfi EA82 came out over what? eight years, was their a Series One and Two ? I shal have to check and confirm the three pin

jono
How is this for a theory? The three pin TPS on an 89 mpfi na ea82 with the three wire additional pigtail is actually an idle switch in the main three pin plug with only two wires from the loom The three wire/ three pin pigtail connector shares the earth of one of those two wires and the other two are 5Volts in and resulting position Voltage out So the TPS with pigtail is both idle Switch from its first series ie flapper maf and a potentiometer output for series two types of four plug ecu/ hotwire maf Looks like the true four pin TPSensors were only on Spider and spfi? Theory sound good?
