nitpikker247
It sticks especially in the Cold weather. But after a couple of depresses of the pedal, it goes away. Its starts all over again the next day.

gbhrps
nitpikker247, This isn't being nitpikky, but knowing what year, model, mileage and options (manual/automatic) often narrows down where we need to start when diagnosing an issue. Until we have that, its a crap shoot.

golucky66
Clean your throttle body. The Baja's all have electrical throttle body's. So if the throttle body was sticking it would have no effect on the pedal. As for the pedal. Get down there and spray some lube in there. It's possible it's sticking from age. Then after you spray it down, work the pedal back and forth with the car off so you can move it the full travel.

impostor
The n/a baja is drive by cable. The 255 was the beginning of drive by wire. Edited January 22, 2018 by impostor
golucky66
You're right. My apologies. Didn't realize the NA's didn't get the updated throttle bodies.

kamesama980
the 03 baja has a throttle cable (EJ251) later n/a models got the DBW EJ253. all turbos are DBW (EJ255?). That's why I got an 03 NA and not newer or turbo. as for fixing the sticking, make sure there isn't a crack in the housing and then use a dry lube. don't use graphite because it could migrate into the electronics.
