CNY_Dave Posted May 18, 2018 Share Posted May 18, 2018 If it happens once per wheel rotation it's brakes or such. If it happens 4x per wheel rotation it's a u-joint. DaveT Posted May 24, 2018 Share Posted May 24, 2018 A good local shop can modify the "non serviceable" U joint mounts. At least the local one here did with my older Loyale "non serviceable" driveshaft. Subaru Scott Posted May 24, 2018 Share Posted May 24, 2018 Yeah, you have to dremel out the “staking” to get the old ones out. I haven’t done it yet but that’s what I understand others have done. I’m going to try to use a hole saw without a pilot but, if I can find one just the right size. Mine are stiff after 500k. Tried drilling to get some grease in there, but the metal is just too hard.
