drumkendrum
Hey everyone ! Wondering what year forester shocks and struts are compatible with my 98 Impreza L wagon. Looking to raise it on the cheap. Thanks in advance !
crazyman03
i grabbed some Outback struts for my '95 Impy. I believe they came out of a late 90's early 00's JunkYardOutback. I had replaced my stock Impreza struts with a 3" spacer with the struts out of the outback - they matched what i was getting with the spacers + like 2". I was quite pleased -Justin

cgates30
Out of curiosity, when you raised your car did you have to do anything with the drive axles? I know people raise/lower cars all the time so there must be enough slack in the geometry to handle it. Edit: I've done a little searching and see there are many lift kits. I'll do some further reading... Edited August 5, 2018 by cgates30
heartless
a basic strut lift does not generally require anything extra.. I did the forester strut lift on a 95 Legacy wagon with no other mods at all and had no issues
crazyman03
+1 on nothing else required. if you do any more than a 4" lift, then yeah, you should think about consequences of other items. I didnt have much of an issue at all. -Justin
