faulty transmissions

Featured Replies

Hello all, I felt compelled to inform all Subaru owners who have received a letter from Subaru informing them that their warranty on your transmission has been extended. While this seems great the reason they are doing this is because they are having numerous problems with the transmissions. The letter states that if you are not having any problems with your transmission no action is necessary.THIS IS FALSE!!! We were having no problems with our 2011 Outback when suddenly all the dashboard lights came on.They ran the diagnostics and our transmission was shot.Cost to replace $8500!! , we were out of warranty. My issue with this is the letter does not stress the need to have your transmission checked even if you are not having problems. So if you received this letter bring your car in for the FREE test .
