Espey16
I can't find a tps for my 89 gl so I was wondering what all would be involved with converting it over to carb. Do I need to swap out the intake to get a Weber to bolt up? What do I do about electronics?
jono
If you venture over to ausubaru.com.au and search posts by Tweety. He did a ripper set up on his trike after he gave up on super charged then spfi. Be easier to fit a universal tps andkeep spfi
el_freddo
Dizzy swap to a carb unit, intake swap to that of a carb as well. You could get away with keeping the ecu and matching dizzy for ignition purposes but it might not be overall happy with the tps and O2 sensor missing. You may need to run some wires to excite the coil to make the bang in the cylinders - and sort out the anti-dieseling solenoid (or run the Weber) Cheers Bennie

Espey16
I currently have an ej out of a 91 legacy sitting in my shed, but I'm kinda scared to dig into the wiring. That's why im asking about a carb swap.
