idosubaru
I see the oil sensor/switch and another valve and the rear cam cap. Leak looks a little low and to the bottom of that “valve”? anyone know if that part needs replaced or resealed..? lmdew
I'd clean it well and see if you can pin point the leak.
golucky66
If you're concerned about it, replace the AVLS gasket. Get an OEM one or a metal style aftermarket. 5 bucks or so and it should take you 15 minutes or less. They leak over time.

I hadn’t pulled one of those yet so I was uncertain in a few ways. I’ll open the FSM and get the gasket. Engine was recently out and cleaned and that’s from not many miles so it’s probably more significant than the pic suggests.
golucky66
Unplug the solenoid and sensor. Remove 4 bolts and it's off. Super simple.

GeneralDisorder
The switches fail ALL THE TIME. They leak from the electrical connector. The grey one. We replace them on every HG job. If they get touched in any way - even to unplug them - they get swapped out. Dealer stocks dozens. GD

This is leaking below that but I’ll replace this one as well.
