Alex C
But this summer I am scratchbuilding a new exaust system. IM going to do 1.75 pipes for the Y, then go to a 2.00 pipe for the run back to the muffler, then im bolting two stock harley mufflers (1.75) together and making a small Y(1.75) for them that feeds from the 2.00 pipe. I dont know if it will work, but its got to be better than what I have now. Now, if anyone is interested I can get many more pairs of mufflers for 40.00$ per pair. These are stock off of new bikes (people put louder ones on when they buy a harley), so they are barely used. Anyway, im not in this for profit, just sharing the wealth, so that is my price I can get them for, plus what ever shipping would be to you all. These mufflers are meanth for a 1500cc engine, but obviously can allow for a lot more. The 1.75 inlet for them is a good clue, plus the higher rpm they expect to run, which means more exaust has to flow through them. Alex
MorganM
Honestly it sounds like a pretty nice system. I think youll be very happy with it. Glad I'm not the only one who looked at harely mufflers and said ... damn is that 1 7/8" ID? those might work allright on my subaru.... Ended up getting a hell of a deal on a thrush glass pack. (thx arch !_!) Good luck with the fabrication =)

archemitis
my subaru is running a supertrapp off of a harley. and my brother had an 83 corolla with one hd muffler, with the baffle punched of course. if you do it punch the baffle, otherwise you'll most likely be quieter than stock. i work at a hd dealership, so i got way too many harley parts on my subaru. one has a harley ignition switch to turn my fans on and off. Turbone
I NEED HARLEY PARTS! Cheap of course Seriously, the stock pipes from a Harley suck, for a bike. I'm not sure how they would sound on a Soob, I kind of like the racket a open system makes. If any of you guys at a dealership have a old pair of SE2's laying around for a FXDX, let me know
