Unknownjeremiah
I can’t purchase a Weber on the USMB store or from the redline/Weber site. Super confusing. Just want them to take my money.
moosens
I can’t speak for the Board but I sure don’t recall the USMB peddling any products other than USMB regalia. Otherwise , the kits are still out there. Keep looking. And then there’s a whole mess of us that think Webers belong in Italian sports cars and not much else. You’ll find one soon. Good luck.
FerGloyale
EA81 or EA82? Here an EA82 kit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-1985-1987-1-8L-OHC-EA82-Weber-Carb-Conversion/331100259795?fits=Make%3ASubaru&epid=591465372&hash=item4d171d05d3:g:G~0AAOSwcN1aWTb9 Say's won't fit power steering but it will with slight modification. or get the manual choke version from same seller.

EA81 found it through your link. Thanks. I have just never trusted eBay but looks like I don’t have a choice. I have just never trusted eBay but looks like I don’t have a choice. Ebay isn't a store or seller. It's a platform. some sellers and products are great. others are not. 32000+ sales and 99.6 % positive feedback for that seller. Pretty sure you can trust them. You will need an EA82 manifold, or a different adapter for EA81. Heres the adapter https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adapter-plate-for-installing-Weber-carb-Subaru-EA81-OHV-1600-1800-Weber/331243512837?fits=Make%3ASubaru&epid=550958243&hash=item4d1fa6e405:g:zMsAAOSwBadTqfxV

I had emailed but all the emails were returned as undeliverable, with the address from that link. I called for a price and it was around $375 total. Never heard back from any USMB admin about their products and why I can’t order. But it does say in stock. Idk. Called around local auto stores. They were quite a bit more expensive if they even sold them. Im only doing the Weber because I can’t afford the EJ swap on my 86 Hatch Edited August 9, 2019 by Unknownjeremiah
Steptoe
I found that it pays to also order extra main and idle jets either side of the size fitted. it should be mandatory when selling these things, as if it not run sweet out of the box you can go about swapping about instead of waiting (&stewing) for extra jets Mate bought one locally , set up for his application supposedly. The tailpipe analyser picked up something amiss Not even finger tight idle jets !!
