Datnastybrat
Found the knock sensor to be missing and dealership and auto parts store don't carry it. Anyone have a part number for oem or a replacement that would fit? Car does lack power and I'm just trying to restore the engine and upgrade what I can. Steptoe
Series One EA82T seems to be a bit more like EA81T than Series Two I wonder if EA81T knock sensor is two wire Is module Denso or Hitachi? Knock module may be between glovebox and body Plastic black may be Denso, think Hitachi were all gold zinc metal module box S1 knock has white plastic in body, S2 is green Series one knock sensor part number I have recorded as may be 22060AA000 Edited October 11, 2019 by Steptoe
Datnastybrat
Not sure what model it is, but I can see it is inside the fender (panel) on the driver side. Thank you for the part number. It is a two piece screw in knock sensor.
Steptoe
Two piece or two wire? All EA82 are one piece screw in 15/16 tube socket. They become two pieces with a little effort though Edited October 12, 2019 by Steptoe

It is a secret # not even in the Subaru parts book except for the index. There are used ones at the wreckers if you look hard enough. I am almost certain that the 2 wire ea82 sensor (22060AA000)used in 85/6 that steptoe mentions is identical except for the addition of a plastic barrel around the pins that allows fitting a better connector. 429487000 is also white plastic 2 pin,FWIW. You could use 22060AA000 by changing connectors or modifying the barrel portion of the sensor. Here is a cheap $10 aftermarket one https://www.ebay.com/itm/Delphi-Knock-Detonation-Sensor-AS10088-For-Subaru-GL-10-XT-GL-RX-1995/380876594751?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Delphi-Knock-Detonation-Sensor-AS10088-For-Subaru-GL-10-XT-GL-RX-1995/380876594751?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 Edited October 13, 2019 by naru2
