Driveshaft 88gl wagon

So I have an 88 gl wagon and it needs a new driveshaft, I also have a 86gl sedan, will the driveshaft from the sedan work in the wagon? Because I really dont want to spend 400 bucks on a new one haha

If it’s a front driveshaft for the front end and both are carb then yes. 

Front and rear shafts are not interchangeable.

So what youre saying is that I cant use the rear drive shaft from the transmission to the axle from the sedan 86 and put it in the wagon 88

No, in other parts of the world, a "driveshaft" is the axle shaft from the transmission/diff out to the hub, so that's what he's talking about.

As long as it's an EA82 sedan ('85+ in the US) with the same transmission, yes, it'll work just fine.

Thats what I was thinking because I measured the wheelbase length wise on both cars and it matches haha thanks a bunch guys
