turbo1600 Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 the fuel pump in my `89 efi leone has stopped working , i took the old one out and has what looks like to be a pressure regulator ? at the end of it. looked at replacement ones and they dont have this . any more info ? GeneralDisorder Posted January 8, 2020 Share Posted January 8, 2020 The regulated pressure is much lower than the dead-head pressure. The 80's Ford F-150 frame rail booster pumps are typically just fine for any of the EA fuel injection applications. The pulse damper can be eliminated, and if you get a modern pump it will likely be a turbine style and won't have those pressure pulses anyway.
