turbo1600 Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 the fuel pump in my `89 efi leone has stopped working , i took the old one out and has what looks like to be a pressure regulator ? at the end of it. looked at replacement ones and they dont have this . any more info ? Rampage Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 Is the engine SPFI or MPFI, single port fuel injection or multi port fuel injection? GeneralDisorder Posted January 8, 2020 Share Posted January 8, 2020 The regulated pressure is much lower than the dead-head pressure. The 80's Ford F-150 frame rail booster pumps are typically just fine for any of the EA fuel injection applications. The pulse damper can be eliminated, and if you get a modern pump it will likely be a turbine style and won't have those pressure pulses anyway.
