Qman Posted July 7, 2004 Share Posted July 7, 2004 I would recommend looking into gutter mounts rather than welding. The sheet metal is thin and will be tough to get good welds that will hold up. There are a number of roof top carriers out there that have gutter mounts. Adaptation will be the best way to go. That will also make it removable if needed. sparkster58 Posted July 7, 2004 Author Share Posted July 7, 2004 not worried about the paint as you can see my avitar) its camo green..rattle can.......just that my gutters are not wide enough for the 4 feet to set in..and the clamps are to thick and press up against the rear window...ive tried everything to adjust it ..bending the clamps ect....
