Steptoe
Started looking at this in 2015 or so It will cost more than a free EJ, almost as much as an EJ exhaust to fit EA body Might go better, add some Euro Ford reliability ** cough ** , oh STOP it !! i scored a free EDIS module from a 1985 Ford Mondeo crippled due to no acc cables available There is a need for a trigger wheel to be added to crank pulley but no room in the Brumby I think others have used EA82 optical dizzy to run these things?? any info and positive advice welcome i have ej22 in the shed, an EJ20 in a Brumby and those projects are stagnant Edited February 4, 2020 by Steptoe
Numbchux
WJM (RIP) wrote a fantastic article for SubieSport Magazine 10+ years ago about his RX, running the EA82t on MS+EDIS. Look for some of his old posts, he was doing some serious work and a lot of documentation.
el_freddo
Silverbullet has it done ages ago. Scroll down to the pic of the twins on the engine with the dirty alternator and you’ll see his trigger wheel on the crank pulley and the sensor mounted off the old dizzy hole using a plate. https://ausubaru.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=25427&start=165 there might be details of this setup earlier in the thread that I may have missed. Steptoe
Thus is his true twin port, twin carb EA81 that chewed up something to do with dizzy drive. I don't think it has been on the road yet...
el_freddo
Nah he’s still building it between work and uni if he hasn’t graduated already from what I know. The body work is a master piece in the flesh. Photos just don’t do it justice! Cheers Bennie
