Naked Buell
Hey guys, I have the 2.2T in the Brat, can I use any overflow tank that I can fit in there? I have the one tank on the engine, and I have the line off the radiator cap, to go to an overflow, like in the EA82. Any thoughts and advice? carfreak85
My EJ20G-swapped EA82 uses the coolant expansion tank from a USDM WRX. Works fine and isn't made of plastic
Naked Buell
Now r u talking about the tank on the motor? I have the lame plastic one that came with the 2.2T stock. I am asking, if I have the one on the motor, do I need another one to catch from radiator cap to overflow? Or do I just cap it? It is the stock Brat radiator metal. Numbchux
Turbo legacy didn't have a cap on the radiator, the bleed came right off the expansion tank on the motor to the overflow tank. I would put a higher-pressure cap on the radiator, and then run both hoses to the overflow, just in case.
Naked Buell
Cool. I will tee off at the tank on the 2.2T motor and tie in to the radiator overflow line. If I have the stock Brat radiator cap what pressure should I get? And what pressure cap on the tank on the motor? I figured I should have a new one too. Crazyeights
Do you have any pictures or perhaps a build thread? I have an EJ22T myself that is long overdue to be installed. I would like to see yours.
