910GL
Dowel pins to mate EA82 engine to tranny are stuck in the old motor and I destroyed them trying to get them out; they need to be on the tranny side for my adapter plate. Does anyone know if these are still available from Subaru? Haven't had any luck so far looking through online parts diagrams for a part #. Thanks
Step-a-toe
I know when I was after an internal dowel for the gearbox the answer was dowel comes as part of the casing i pulled a perfectly good box apart to get another little sucker .... DaveT
Don't know, but they are pretty likely standard metric dowel pins. Decent car parts store might have them, just as generic parts. I usually check Mcmaster-carr for things like this also.
el_freddo
How did you kill those things? Cheers Bennie
910GL
They were seized in there pretty fierce. I got one out after battling with some vice grips. I'll take it in to NAPA and try to get something "close." Thanks guys.
el_freddo
I’d clean it up and reuse it. Not a critical part. It’s job is to align the engine and gearbox with more precision than the mounting bolts. Being slightly smaller won’t matter. Cheers Bennie
