Step-a-toe
Just braved the near freezing blizzard conditions nearly midnight to look at an EA81 two pin Hitachi dizzy If you hold module so the brains of it is at the five , and seven of the click position, pins facing up at you The pin on the left, 7 position is the yellow which ibelieve relates to neg terminal of coil, pin on right black wire with white or yellowing white with age at 5 click position goes to positive , I think Have you a wiring diagram to get colours to neg and POS? To confirm?
LoyalLion
Hey thanks for the help everyone! We did it. We completely bypassed the ecm in our 90 Loyale and replaced the throttle- body with a weber carburator. We took an intake manifold off of an old ea81 and ordered a simple two-terminal electronic ignition distributor for an 85 GL. It runs fantastic! Manual choke, and a real sense of independence from the ECM Replacing the 3 speed automatic with a 5 speed manual is the next project. Thanks yall! We've learned a lot Edited September 25, 2020 by LoyalLion
