GeneralDisorder Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 The pickup coil for the reluctor is integrated into the module..... it has to be next to the reluctor to sense it. It could be redesigned so that all you have inside the distributor is the coil itself without the electronics that convert the sine wave reluctor signal to a square wave coil firing signal.
