Ionstorm66
I've been trying to find a good replacement for the shift bushing and springs. My shifter has gotten so bad you can't even tell it's in gear anymore. I have to shift it up and down to check!

moosens
Let’s read the theory behind this one. As for shifter bushings , I sold what might be my only set to someone not too long ago on eBay. I can’t recall who at the moment but discussion was that they should be copied. FYI you folks should be aware that there is also a seat bushing at the end of the lever where it meets the transmission. And also the seal should be replaced. This info is for the single range on demand 4WD Good luck with it. Edited July 26, 2020 by moosens

Who knows? Maybe @Subarule could enlighten us..? 6 minutes ago, Step-a-toe said: Assuming OP is talking EA81 4 speed????? Good point Steptoe, in which case I’d suggest the slot and bolt trick. Worked nice on mine. I recommend a metal lock nut. Nylon just doesn’t cut it with potential oil etc. Cheers Bennie
GeneralDisorder
Get our your lathe and some bushing bronze. Only way any of that is going to get fixed at this point. All those parts are NLA. GD

carfreak85
Delrin or urethane rod stock both work well for shifter bushings.
Ionstorm66
If you had the dimensions it would be nothing to get a custom seal shop to make bushings, Ive had them made that way before. I guess ill pull it apart and check them all. Its also a e82 5 speed. The odd thing is up and down is 100% clapped, but left/right only left is clapped. Going into 5th and reverse actually has resistance.
