iriejedi
Recently replaced spark plugs on 2005 Outback 2.5L maunal trans, car runs down the road and through the mountains fine but when I get to a stoplight/stop sign and push in the clutch, engine stalls. I tried replacing the spark plug wires and I installed a new neutral safety switch. No engine codes, any ideas?
brus brother
oem wires? ngk plugs? The engine needs air to blend with gasoline so that it burns properly in the engine's cylinders. If the intake is blocked in some way, you might find the vehicle stalls at random as you drive. This issue can be caused by a bad mass airflow sensor, a leaking intake hose, bad O2 sensors, even a clogged engine air filter. GeneralDisorder
Clean the throttle body and the idle control (if it's not DBW). GD

dirty_mech
Does the engine do the same thing when it's cold? If it runs just fine when cold, but starts acting up when warm, suspect the upstream oxygen sensor.
