calebz
Its nice and clean.. more than I can say for mine. These typically go for ~$700 on eBay Just remember that if you are planning on using it in a nonturbo car (you didn't say if your Loyale was turbo or not) You will need the wiring harness, ECU, crossmember and exhaust to go with it. Let me know if you decide to do it. I have some of the parts you will need.
Vegablade
its a non-turbo but i can get the other parts if you dont have any you are willing to part with.

Scoobywagon
freight isn't too bad. I had a Saturn engine shipped from New York to Washington, cost about $150.
Scoobywagon
I'm interested in what carrier you used, and how you had to arrange to pick it up, etc... You have to have it delivered to a business with a dock right? It seems freight shipping is somewhat of a mystery, but if you got it for $150 all the way across the U.S. the nyou must be doing something right I got the engine out of a wrecking yard in upstate NY. They sent it through one of their local carriers who did not have a route all the way out here. The local carrier forwarded it through yellow freight who brought it out here. Didn't need a dock, but I couldn't have it sent to my house, either. The delivery target has to have truck access (which my house decidedly does NOT). In this case, it went to a local garage where they were doing the motor swap for us (would you believe the thrust bearing died before the original clutch????). Anyway, I recall paying ~$250 for the engine and the whole deal was right around $400. I'll see if I can dig up the original bill of lading.
