WJM
...Job/desk/office....and its....you guessed it...SUBARU! Thats right, our very own WJM had FINNALLY bagged a job at a SUBARU dealer. Many thanks to Pleiades for helping me out and putting in many good words for me here, and I was able to be the first in the door before word was put out....THANKS!!!! So, i am taking over Pleiades position, as he is moving up in the world. Now....i am working over details....but...after I get settled in, I will be able to take requests for parts and information....Pleiades has informed me that he was BOMBARDED with requests....and only had 2 sales.....so....I will be working on a system that allows for speedy service on both ends, and everyone being happy. Also....I will be dealing with the Old Skool stuff....Pleiades for the new stuff (anything EJ powered) So now, Pleiades, crazyhorse, and WJM (I) are here....what a crew! I'll be in touch with parts....I'll get osme info flowing soon as some technical things are figured out with the board admins, and the dealer. Now, back to play, i mean, err, work. viehmann
WJM, I see you are from Mount Pleasent NC. Small world!!! I live near you in Midland NC. I work in Charlotte @ CPCC as an automotive instructor and I am also the Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP) coordinator there as well. (That title and $1.38 gets me a 24 oz hot cup of coffee at the Circle K on Hwy 49 across from the "old marble orchard".) Congrats on the job @ Subaru. Are you at Folger or Hunter? My travels in my above mentioned occupation bring me to Hunter Chrysler Jeep Subaru quite often (I have a student working there) I don't have any contacts at Folger as they are a GM store. Just wanted to wish you luck in the job and let you know if you see a 40 year old guy cruising around in a white 4wd Justy with chrome wheels and an over the top chevy orange racing stripe that would be me. I also have an 86 gl fwd wagon, bright red with gold flames (soon to get an XT6 suspension and brakes so I can install some WRX wheels) If you're ever at the CPCC automotive building look me up! Good luck! Jim
WJM
I am at Folgers. Ive heard bad things about Hunter on the SUBARU end tho.....but I'll check them out to be sure on that. I do not believe that ive seen the justy, or that wagon....but it sure would be kick ***** to see! Maybe we could meet up....at the WNC meet on July 17th? There is a thread on it in this forum, and in the meet/greet one. Thanks for the congrats you two!
viehmann
Cool!! Folger is a great store for Subie techs But, unfortunetly when I delt with them 2 years ago they were a bit slow in the parts dept. (it took me 3 weeks to get a rear hub bearing kit for the justy) I'm sure they are better now! I have since used Hunter just for the sake of convienence plus, I get dealer cost plus 15% on all my parts. Considering I don't work there that's hard to beat! Like I said the title has its advantages! The wagon is under construction and is currently not registered (You know how that is!) The Justy is usually out and about looking for 3cyl Metros and Ford Festivas to play with. I will more than likely will be at the WNC meet on July 17th, That is if my wife and kids can do without me! PS: Is Gus Matunis (I think thats how you spell it) still the service manager there at Folger? Talk to ya soon, Jim V. I am at Folgers. WJM
Yeah, Gus is here. I would say that we can beat those prices...but I'll ahve to double check. I know that we ahve great parts people here now...and before Pleiades and crazyhorse started here....this was not the most desirable place to come to for parts and service from what I hear...so...change this time is all for the good! But crazyhorse is not contributing to the parts/service...cuz hes in sales.
viehmann
Dynomite!! Like I said It's probably been 2-3 years since I have bought anything at Folger. Now that you guys are there I will stop in and see ya when I need some stuff. When ya see Gus tell him the guys at CPCC said hi and we hope to see him at our next advisory committee meeting this fall. Thanks, Jim V. Yeah, Gus is here.
