squillholland
My 1990 Legacy wagon was just recently submerged under about 2 feet of water for a few days. I was able to avoid hydrolocking and destroying the interior with some care and am slowly solving all of the issues associated with this event. My main issue right now is figuring out how to get the power windows working again. I removed the master control and checked to see if it was getting power and my multimeter read 1.5V from the wire, i'm not getting any movement using the master or other doors window switchs and there doesnt seem to be a fuse in the kick panel or in the main fuse box. The water line was up to the bottom fuses in the kickpanel if this gives any clues. I am not sure where to find the fuse (if there is one) or the relay or really what steps to take next. Your help is appreciated.
1 Lucky Texan
maybe start by refreshing all the grounds. Unbolt and wire brush both sides of spade lugs, the body's surface and the underside of the bolt head. Maybe smear with dielectric grease when done. lmdew
The motor is low in the door under water for sure. Pull the door card and pull the motor out. Multimeters can lie to you if there is no load on the circuit. Check out LoadPro on youtube. Amazon has them. The LoadPro should be in everyone's toolbox.
