sirtokesalot
ive been noticing recently in the last few weeks now that my hvac has been getting stuck on certain vent positions and wont change when i select dash vents or defrost right away. it usually takes it like 10 to 20 min before the vent will switch to the setting i switched it to. after it does change it will change when i switch the control at a normal speed seems cold related and as the hvac warms up it will switch the setting. what part should i look at? 1 Lucky Texan
well, one possibility is the little foam gaskets on the blend doors are failing and draggging or getting 'bunched-up' in some way. I have even had older cars 'spit-out' pieces of foam from the vents. But, I have no idea if failures like that in Texas would be common elsewhere. Heat here is brutal on many plastics and rubbers.
