evor1 Posted January 24, 2022 Share Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) 2005 legacy with 80k miles on it. There is this ringing sound that occurs in drive and reverse. Appears to go away in park and neutral. It will also persist when driving occasionally. When it is absent when driving if I hit a bump in the road I'll hear it briefly. Numbchux Posted January 25, 2022 Share Posted January 25, 2022 I'm guessing an exhaust heat shield. They will only vibrate at certain rpms, and idle in gear is just right.
