vortexx
The safety belts in the rear of my XT are damp. Any idea where the water will be getting through? We have had alot of rain lately, but I have no idea how the water got in. Any ideas? Seals??

Sweet82
My vote is rust! Looks like your gonna have to crawl under the car to solve this one??? Or improve your driving so your rear seat passengers don't wet.......well never mind
MorganM
I honestly wonder how many rear seat belts on these old Subarus are NO LONGER SAFTEY RESTRAINING DEVICES! Mine were so rusted out where the main backing palte of the seat belt is bolted to the fender well that one good tug on them and they ripped CLEAN ouff the car. Took the whole backing plate and everything. Take a look either up inside your rear fender wells from outside the car or pull away the plastic trim behind the belt from inside the car (should all just snap in / snap out there) and look for holes, rust and such. I can no longer have passangers in my rear seats, safely
vortexx
Thanks;) The car only has minor surface rust, and not anywhere in the vicinity of the belt area. But, I will pull back the plastic to see if there is any rust there.
coupe
Thanks;) The car only has minor surface rust, and not anywhere in the vicinity of the belt area. But, I will pull back the plastic to see if there is any rust there. Its the drain tubes in the sunroof , if there blocked then the water will fill up in the sun roof gutter and down the bump rubbers.

Qman
I would concur with Coupe. That or the rear window is leaking. Both happen alot in Subes.
