bajavwnsoobnut
here it is: Hello Mr. Neal: Thank you for your reply. We understand your frustration. However, you did not state in your original message that you had reviewed the Service Manuals for your 1976 Subaru. Therefore, we thought that we were directed you properly. We do apologize for this. I discussed your message with our Technical Services Department. There is only one representative that was working for Subaru of America in 1976. He stated that we did not offer an EA-65 engine in any of the 1976 models. In fact, he was not aware that we ever offered an EA-65 engine. He stated that we offered a 1400 cc manual transmission engine and a 1600 cc automatic transmission engine, which information would only be in the Engine Manual only. As for the VIN you provided, it is not recognized as a US vehicle. Is it possible that this vehicle was sold in another country. As we are the distributor for the US only, we are not aware of the specifications of vehicles sold in other countries. If the VIN you supplied is not the correct VIN, please contact us again with the correct VIN, as that might help us discover more information about your vehicle. We are sorry that we cannot be of more assistance. Best wishes, John J. Mergen Subaru of America gee no wonder I don't have any information on the EA-65 that I have
