ccrinc
Try "Forest Green", available at most auto parts stores. Emily http://www.ccrengines.com
subiemech85
thinking it was more of a robin's egg blue, not hunter green is the air cleaner the same color of valve covers?

GeneralDisorder
I recall that "Chrysler Engineering" (Mopar), used a very similar color on their race cars of the late 60's and early 70's. They had two different colors actually - one was called "Blue Fire Metallic", and another called "Corporate Blue".... might have a look at those, as they are close but might be little more interesting to look at. ccrinc
Originally, the EA71 engines had a light green, and the EA81s had a Forest green. The EA81 engines, oddly enough, usually did not have matching colors on the valve covers and air cleaner, while the EA71 engines did. At least, that's what we see on cores that come in. Both colors are easily available. Emily http://www.ccrengines.com
GeneralDisorder
Forest Green??? I have like 4 EA81's here and none of them look even remotely Forest Green..... or at least what I consider Forest Green to be. They are more of a light blue/seafoam color. I suppose it depends on what you consider "forest green" to be, but all the cans of forest green that I have ever bought were a very dark green. ccrinc
GD, I don't doubt you. And we have a crate full of dark green ones, and about a dozen light green. In the end, I guess whichever color is most pleasing is the one people should use. We just sent an EA81 off to Michigan that the guy specifically requested "Yamaha Blue" on the valve covers and the oil pan! Flowmastered87GL
My brat has Orange! Oil pan, valve covers and air cleaner (has a carter weber on it) I dunno if its original, they told me its an Ea81 wagon engine. I painted my EA82 parts with old ford blue I think... kinda a powder blue, looks close but a little less green than I think Ea81's are supposed to be.
