JAB
Hello - I am new to the message board. I wanted to share my problem... I have a 99 Legacy Wagon with 68,000 miles. My check engine light came on while driving on the highway. The car hesitates upon excelleration. However, this is an intermitten problem as the light comes on for a while (10 miles or so), starts to run good then goes back off. I took it to the Subaru dealer (first my mechanic who told me to take it to the dealer). They received a P0122 Throttle Position Sensor Error. They replaced the sensor which was not the problem. The mechanics are having trouble pinpointing the problem - wiring harness is the latest. I really feel like these guys don't know Subaru's but was hoping that someone could give me some insights. Subie Gal
P0122 - throttle position sensor circuit low input symptoms: erroneous idling engine stalls poor driving performance reading over the diagnostics in the shop manual... if it's not the sensor it could be the wiring from your computer to the sensor -could be the harness itself, or just the connector -could be the contact in the computer definately sounds electrical and a real pain to chase down i dont think they're lying to you... i think this is just a tough one to find.
