Larry
I just started to change the spark plugs and discovered there isn't room to pull the plug wires with a tool because the engine is surrounded by the battery, ww fluid reservoir, etc. Is the normal procedure to remove all of these components to access the plug wires or is there a secret I haven't learned yet? Thanks for any help. Larry
Strakes
On my 2002 Legacy, that's how I've done it. However, I got by without removing the battery. Once the windshield washer tank is removed, the job is pretty easy. Good luck.

timn29
As you will find most , if not all, on the board agree that you need to remove the windshield washer reservior and the battery. #4 will still you give a littel trouble though....got to it from underneath the car. RodA2003
I think it is easier to do all 4 from underneath. Don't even open the hood. Rod
