Aspiring22b
While I was considering a post in the Meet n' Greet, I figured this would be more appropriate. This is pretty close to what I started with (pic from 2019, I wish I still had earlier pics). My (daily) car is a 97 Impreza Coupe, with some previous driver-side body damage that was repaired poorly. At this point, I had replaced the driver's fender and swapped out the old 5-spoke wheels to some pulled from a Legacy (I'm pretty sure these are junkyard tires in the pic). The previous owner had added some aftermarket intake and filter that I removed and replaced with stock parts. (Also not pictured was some fog lights that were attached through the license plate holes.) If I haven't made it clear yet, this car was abused in its previous life. It needed some TLC and some proper repairs, so I got to work. Continued in next post (additional photos)
Aspiring22b
This photo gives you some idea on how this poor car was tortured. It was hit pretty good on the driver's side, but not excessive, so somebody who knew just enough to be dangerous decided to fix it by welding the door hinges to the unibody with a generous helping of stacked washers to level it out. The red fender in the first photo replaced what was originally a silver fender which was somehow painted even worse than the door in the photo. I also got a junkyard door to replace the one in the picture because both (fender and door, and a little of the rear quarter panel) were damaged after the original "repairs" were done. Aspiring22b
Here is a picture of the driver's side door. Inside the rear driver's quarter panel, I found a chunk of wood wedged in there.
