teatro.cces
30/11-24 Bleeding the clutch I thought it was going to be easy as it sounds, but no. Tried all how-to techniques I’ve found. Still air in the system. Taken me x hours to get here, almost out of will. solution: took main and slave cylinder off and cleaned them nicely. Made sure every part was functioning as it should. Cleaned around area inside engine bay. First I filled the system to full. Then, from behind (slave cylinder) I pushed/pressured new fluid into the system, with the lid to the whole system taken off. You will see air bubbles come up here. When you don’t and the level starts to rise, you are done! The system is now full and your clutch should be working. Time spent after all parts cleaned, max 30 minutes including cleaning all around. tips: have a friend with you. Patience is your most important tool. teatro.cces
Noice when not pressing the clutch Since I bought my Impreza there has been this annoying sound when the clutch is up, not pressed on and only then. Took many hours of googling and staring at the engine. Finally… The noice from within the engine bay was the slave cylinder vibrating against the clutch fork. After cleaning, reinstalling and greasing all parts the sound was gone! the noice could only be heard when the clutch pedal was up. Not pressed upon. No hands or feet on clutch is what I mean
