Setright
You need a "MAF adapter". Don't run the car without the MAF sensor - Mass Air Flow.

mattocs
Here are pictures of mine rigged to the box: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=128521&postcount=4 I got such poor gas mileage, and ruined a MAF sensor I just put the box back on. To connect the filter to the box I cut off the 'wing' part that sticks out you screw to the box and used PVC cement to keep it on there. Also, I had to strap on a rubber thing to insert into the MAF sensor unit so I it would be more stabe.
Subie Gal
check with www.imprezars.com see if he has a MAF adaptor for you dont mess with your MAF. it breaks, the car will go into limp mode and fail to run correctly also, they're $300 each to replace i wouldnt install any intake that was not meant to adapt to the MAF sensor good luck jamie
