Yeah just thought I would throw this out to see if anyone can tell me if it's possible to machine an aluminum pulley for the crank ring that is cast steel/iron and have no problems with temp fluctuations that could make problems with timing as in shrinkage, expansion till the ring cracks, expansion till the ring makes a groove to the point it's loose, or anything else

the reason why is I am trying to figure out a way to make a new pulley for Oddcomp if he decides to go through with it to make a prototype pulley to get the thing running and if it works with aluminum without problems then to make a few more out of T-6 and prolly sell them for so I can get a smithy or a simple metal lathe to make more.

I will find out soon what type of aluminum it is but hopefuly it's T-6

I am doing it myself at work on my own time cause it's not my area exactly but I do have access to alot of equip at work just need to fill out a form to use it and get permission from the areas superviser and for me I am doing it as a favor for Oddcomp so he can get back on track with the DIS and also it would have to be under the table so to speak cause it is my workplace and I am just gonna do it for free with the supply of a pulley to spec and the material to make the pulley out of

unless he wants to supply me with a 6 pack or something that is lol and it's also for me for a learning experience that way if later on I want to do this I can on my own for my vehichles
