LosDiosDeVerde86
i've pulled a few newer model Foresters into the garage lately and i've noticed that the engine starts and shuts off pretty violently. has anyone else noticed this or fixed it in their own? Also, does this happen in all newer models (99-05)?

LosDiosDeVerde86
my 96 Leg LS is smooth on start and shut-off......just not a stoplights.....damn rogue misfire of sorts
BlueSoob
Mine does nothing.. just turns off. Sometimes when it hasn't been running in a long time you can feel it turn over but I wouldn't call it violent. I dunno if it makes a difference if it is a stick or automatic. The 5 spd is pretty smooth... Heck, I would say that my 93 Legacy auto. was more "violent" than the forester is...

DerFahrer
Anything in the Impreza line (all year Foresters included) are made in Japan. Anything in the Legacy line (Outbacks and Baja's too) are made at SIA..
