JEGIII
I have a 1997 OBW and mashed my front catalytic converter and will need to replace it. I'm looking at the Stromung High-Flow cat pipe, which replaces the two stock units with a single. My question is are there any real issues with putting headers on an otherwise stock DOHC 2.5? I figure while I'm under there I might as well do all the work at the same time. Thanks for any info.
tizzle
The only possible issue that would happen is a possible check engine light, due to a different reading on the rear O2 sensor. You can get a kit that will eliminate that problem for $20, or just have the check engine light on all the time. I have Borla headers on my legacy, and I like them. You can go with the TWE headers if you want to spend a little more money. --Todd
JEGIII
Good to hear they work O.K. I was going to install the CEL eliminator due to the different cat pipe anyway, so that should be covered. Thanks for the feed back.
