spike1865
Tell us how you wired it.I used a volt meter and found the memory wire(Blue red i think) and then turned it on to accessory and found the main power (yellow red) then tied a green and green black wire for the interior lights pluged it into a harness i bought from best buy audio then i blew a fuse cause i crossed a wire now my hazards upper turn signal nad dimmer/illumination doesnt come on when i turn on the head lights but the glove box light does when the glove box is open every thing else works fine though
Cougar
There may be a fuse behind the dash somewhere for the dash lights. I seem to recall someone mentioning that before. Not sure if the fuse was for the lights or the stereo.
EOppegaard
Does the radio work? Or is that Dead Too...I agree it sounds like you have blown that fuse. I know in my 93 Legacy I have a 15amp fuse on the nominal power wire which is inside the radio console, should be easy to get to since you had to open that up to install the new radio anyway. coloradosubarules
First thing I would do is put your old harness back together and take a trip to your local Car audio shop and get the Scoshe harness for your car and do it the easy, right way. But thats just me. I did it that way and have no problems.
spike1865
well i would but everyone charges to much like 75 dollars or its a 2 day wait and its first come first serve. this is my daily driver so i cant afford not to have a car for any amount of time and i'm on a college student budget does any one know what it might be its not a fuse in either fuse boxes and the radio works fine so does every thing else the turn signal flasher and seat belt and door warning lights work just not the dimmer could it be a bad dimmer switch or a short theres no loose wires they all go where they should except for power antenna which i cant use since it didnt come with a power antenna. i tried looking for the fuse under the dash and noticed a few disconected plugs but i think those are for features i dont have anyone know what wires go to illuminate the dash? and their location
Cougar
It would help make your posts more readable if you put punctuation in your sentences. If I understand your previous posts correctly you state that the dash lights do not work at all, is that correct? If so, then I would see if you have power at the dimmer control and if there is, see if the voltage changes as you change the control position and measure the wiper arm contact of the the potentiometer. This wire should feed the lights of the dash.
