No manual transaxle dipstick...

Featured Replies

I have a 1995 Impreza 1.8L without a trans dipstick. I bought the car used, and have put about 20,000 miles on it so far. Working at Jiffy Lube, I see Subarus almost every day, but mine is the only one I've ever seen without a dipstick. Because of this, I suspect the fluid has never been changed. At 120,000 miles, this is a bad thing. Any suggestions as to how to change the fluid without a way to fill it?

Thanks,

Justin Vinall

Either you're trying to pull our collective leg or you really belong to the Jiffy Lube world . Look again, the dipstick is maybe missing but the opening thru which the trans oil is poured IS there. Just get a used or a new dipstick. You might even steal one from one of your clients and let HIM wonder next time he tries to replace the trans oil himself. Might even get us a new member :)
