Info on 1990-1994 4WD Justys

Howdy folks.

Do any of you own a 4WD Justy circa 1990-1994 (I believe those are the years in which they were fuel injected)?

I have general questions:

Is it difficult to get parts? (I've owned an 86 Brat and an 86 Hatch and have sometimes had trouble finding parts)

What's their mileage like? (I know this info in abstract but would like more concrete data from an owner)

How many miles can I expect on a 3 cylinder engine?

How are they for rust compared to the 80s subarus?

How do they perform compared to a Gen 2 Brat?

I'll appreciate any response.

Thanks for your time.

-Depending on where you are they could be more or less rare. Parts from the junkyard are probably not any harder to find than brat specific parts would be. Parts from the dealer would be more abundant I would imagine.

-Not an owner myself, but I hear of mileage from the 30s into the 40 mpg range.

-People say they don't last as long as an ea81, but it depends mostly on how the car was treated. Most people treat justy's like disposable pieces of crap so they don't last as long. I have seen justies running well at over 200k.

-Much better.

-Similiar power/weight ratio, but they weigh less so they are more nimble.

Oh, and one other thing, avoid the ECVT transmissions like they are the plague. Find a 5spd manual version.

I can only give you general info since my Justy is a carbed '88. But I love it--great gas mileage (high 30s), much nimbler handling than the EA81 based cars, and excellent performance (considering it's a 3cyl). And they are unstickable in the snow. (Narrow tires and no weight and 4WD will do that, I guess.)

As for reliability, I have no idea. Mine only has 17K on it.
