SubaSport
I just got my car back on the road after two weeks of putting a 4 inch lift on it. I drove it around last night for a while and it did good. I was exited. Then it was ideling and it died. I couldn't get it started after that. I took the gas line off the carb to see it it was pushing gas into the carb.It wasn't. Whats my problem? Do the subaru gods not like me? I know it might be the fuel pump, is their anything else it could be?

thealleyboy
Agree with Flow. The pump should be the last thing you replace when working on the fuel system. Might have knocked a wire loose while installing your lift. I would check the wiring near the fuel pump area. good luck, John
calebz
4 inch lift = stretched fule lines..its possible something came undone during your initial drive.. also check the wires to the pump as the lift may have stretched them as well. Sweet82
This sounds too familiar! I finished mine and had the same problem! Look at the FPCU and see if your sending power to the fuel pump! Check you connections! I never found a direct replacement for the part so I had to improvise one from a newer Subie. Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer, still looking for the correct fuel pump control unit..... 01 Forester
