RallyKeith
Is the throttle body itself on the XT Turbo Spyder intake the same as on the non-spyder intakes? I have a chance to get a spyder intake cheap, but it's missing the throttle body itself. What can use on it? Thanks, Keith
oddcomp
go look in the junkyards at 80 dodge mpfi and turbo's they use a hooley throttle body a small adapter plate might be needed or if you wanted really nifty go look at the ford probe turbo's and mazda turbo's and a few n/a mazda's i think a few otehr cars have ti also but anyways those have a cool 2 barrel staged throttle body but it does need a adapter plate to make it work at wide open i think with both plates open its about 1.5 times bigger than the suby throttle body
RallyKeith
So does that mean it's not the same as the non-spyder intakes? Also, isn't there a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) on the Throttle Body that would have to matched up? Keith
oddcomp
well as long as it matches up electrically your fine you might have to rig up a small "cherry" style switch to act as the idle or wot switch as wella s teh tps wiring as far as the turbo xt and the n/a xt i have no idead of there is a difrence sorry i forgot the stock suby's use those mine just usses tps and map sensor.. but its not a suby ecu either so its easier for me to adapt things
RallyKeith
How about Turbo XT Spyer vs. Non-Turbo spyder Throttle body? I need to know what throttle body I could bolt right on a go for a start. No messing with wiring or adapter plates. Keith
RallyKeith
Just heard back from the place that has the manifold. They have a Throttle body, but it's from an automatic and they said it's different. What could the differences be, and what are the odds I could use it on a car with a 5spd?
